Valley Forge National Park Seeks Tenant for Historic Kennedy Supplee Mansion

The National Park Service (NPS) is looking for the right tenant to breathe new life into the historic Kennedy Supplee Mansion at Valley Forge National Historical Park. The Victorian-era property, located on the eastern edge of the park in King of Prussia, has sat vacant since the Kennedy Supplee Mansion Restaurant closed its doors in 2005.

$10 Million Planned for Rehabilitation

To attract a tenant, the NPS has announced plans to invest $10 million into restoring and upgrading the building, ensuring it meets modern needs while preserving its architectural character.

What Kind of Tenant Are They Looking For?

The NPS has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking a tenant willing to sign a 10-year lease for the 4.5-acre property. Suggested uses include:

  • A restaurant or café
  • Retail establishment
  • Coworking space or professional offices
  • Other uses compatible with the NPS mission and values

About the Kennedy Supplee Mansion

Built in 1852, the three-story, 8,800-square-foot Victorian mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural significance. The property also features a 600-square-foot carriage house, adding to its unique charm and potential.

Interested parties must submit proposals by September 12, 2025. The NPS hopes this effort will not only preserve a historic landmark but also create a vibrant space for the King of Prussia and Valley Forge communities.
