Where Is Chestnut Hill? County, City, and ZIP

Chestnut Hill sits at the northwest tip of Philadelphia, inside the City and County of Philadelphia, on the city line with Montgomery County. Every Chestnut Hill sale in this period carried the 19118 ZIP code. Germantown Avenue runs up the middle, Cresheim Valley Drive marks the Mount Airy side, and Wissahickon Valley Park runs along the west.

Because Chestnut Hill is a city neighborhood, there is no borough or township to sort out. Every home pays Philadelphia real estate tax, and the line between Chestnut Hill and the next neighborhood is a matter of local habit. That is why these figures use the MLS neighborhood label rather than the ZIP code.
